About Us

Spikarö Karamell & Pralin Fabriks Aktiebolag was founded in 1992 and is owned and runned by Margareth Georgsson and Christer Olsson. The business is concentrated to Alnön near Sundsvall. Our mission is to take advantage of our old candy recipes and at the same time have work opportunities created on the island where we live.

The recipes come from the old store: "Carl & Agnes Lindvalls Kolonialvaruaffär"  at Södermalm in Sundsvall, owned by Carl & Agnes Lindvall. Shortly after the turn of the century and until the end of the 30s, this store sold food products and wine to both "ordinary" people and business people around the district. They also made a lot of  products themselves,  candy among others, which they sold in the store. Carl & Agnes were grandparents to Christer, who in this way came across those old recipes. The original recipes have been developed over the years to respond to new demands  for  todays manufacturing  and new mixtures have also been created.

Production began at our facilities in Spikarna, but with growing sales, we have recently been forced to outsource some production to other bakeries.
Packaging, recipes and quality control and development of new products is, however, entirely still done by us.

Margareth Georgsson responsible for chocolate, packaging and she is the
one who makes  every-
thing works

Accountant Christer Olsson  is in charge of administration and manufacturing of
candy.

Petter Olsson goes to school and works with us at the same time. Involved in many new ideas for development of new products
